The Hobbiton

Cat refuge and safe haven for many cats on Fuerteventura.

The Hobbiton is run by Nicola und Werner Arenz, the founders of KitznKatz Fuerteventura. The German-speaking Anglo-American couple puts all its power and love into this project.

They look after the grown-up and baby cats who are often sick, scared and wounded, both on their bodies and their souls. They give those poor creatures food, medical treatment, love and safety.

Werner mainly works as a travel guide for ITS-Reisen and looks after the cat refuge in every free minute he has. Nicola takes care of the accounts, statistics, medication and organisation.
